About this activity
Before the malls and the hotel staycations, Eid in Qatar meant the desert. A keshta in the dunes. Laban and Pafki straight from the cooler. Sand between your toes at the Inland Sea. That feeling — unhurried, warm, familiar — is exactly what this experience brings back.
Your 6-hour desert journey takes you deep into the golden dunes of Mesaieed in a 4x4, past the famous Singing Sand Dunes, all the way to Khor Al Adaid — Qatar's UNESCO-recognised Inland Sea, where the desert meets the Arabian Gulf. Swim, explore, or just sit and take it in.
Then the keshta: carpets rolled out, cushions down, a spread of classic Qatari childhood snacks — Pafki, Oman Chips, Salad Chips, Laban, Dandy Ice Creams, and juices — and nowhere you need to be.
For families, friends, and couples. For those who grew up with this Eid, and those who never have.

Details
There is a reason that Eid in the Qatari desert feels like a memory even the first time you experience it.
Your journey begins with pickup from anywhere in Doha or Sealine, loaded into a 4x4 driven by a professional desert guide. You'll wind through the dunes of Mesaieed, pausing at the Singing Sand Dunes — one of Qatar's most surreal natural landmarks, where the shifting sand creates an audible hum — before continuing to Khor Al Adaid, the Inland Sea.
Khor Al Adaid is a UNESCO-recognised natural wonder: the only place in the world where an open sea flows deep into the desert. You can swim here. You can walk the dune edges. You can sit and watch the colours of the water change as the sun moves.
The keshta is set up in the dunes: traditional floor cushions, carpets, and the full spread of classic Qatari childhood snacks — Pafki, Oman Chips, Salad Chips, Laban, Dandy Ice Creams, freshly pressed juices, and Arabic coffee and dates. This is the part people remember.
The experience runs approximately 6 hours from pickup to drop-off, with sunrise (3:00 AM) and sunset (2:00 PM) departure slots available.
