About this activity
This 30-40 minute experience at the Red Sand Dunes brings it back.
Your certified guide walks you through a quick briefing before you mount up — no experience needed, all skill levels welcome. Then you ride: up the dune, at a relaxed and comfortable pace, with the golden desert light doing exactly what it does during sunset in Riyadh.
After the ride, enjoy classic Saudi Eid treats: Maamoul, Kleija, Bugles, Tasali Chips, Baja Nuts, chilled Almarai juices, and ice creams, the flavors many grew up with, brought back for Eid.

Details
The Red Sand Dunes of Riyadh are one of Saudi Arabia's most distinctive landscapes — those deep amber sands that turn almost copper at sunset. Horse riding here, as the light drops and the dunes glow, is a genuinely beautiful experience.
Your session starts at the stable. You meet your guide, receive basic instructions, and get comfortable before the ride begins. The pace is gentle and guided throughout — this is designed to be accessible for first-timers, older children, and anyone who's always wanted to try but never found the right moment.
You'll ride up the dune with your guide beside you the whole way, with stops for photos along the route (your guide will help you capture them on your personal phone).
After the ride: Saudi childhood snacks on the mat. Maamoul (date-filled cookies), Kleija, Bugles, Tasali Chips, Baja Nuts, chilled Almarai juices, and ice creams. A cold water bottle is also included.
